Working closely with AlbertaHUB, a Regional Economic Development Alliance, you will manage their growth and operations as well as managing the St. Paul Regional Office of AFE. This position offers the opportunity to test your organizational and project management skills while building collaborative relationships to support rapid growth.

You will use your well-developed economic development expertise to implement programs that deliver the vision of the Board of Directors of AlbertaHUB. Seeing a project through from concept to successful delivery will result in meaningful and impactful benefit for the region's 34-member communities and their residents.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in working with municipal elected officials and leaders, and in managing not-for-profit boards and committees. As a mentor and supporter of local economic developers you will be able to link communities to economic development resources and information.

The AlbertaHUB region is economically and culturally diverse. Hands-on experience in Aboriginal economic development would be an asset, as this position manages significant programming for seven Aboriginal community members in northeast Alberta.

The Director, St. Paul Region, also represents Alberta Finance and Enterprise in the region and works across divisions and ministries to deliver the mandate of AFE.

Qualifications: Related degree (Economics, Community Economic Development, Business) plus considerable progressively responsible related experience in rural communities. An advanced degree and/or completion of a recognized economic development program are considered assets. Equivalencies may be considered.
